About the NIT Calicut
The project is a prestigious Core Research Grant project sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Working on the project would provide the research staff an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in Computer Architecture, Virtualization, and Automatic Generation of Simulators for specialized processors, such as AI processors, and those enhanced for security. The project offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic young Scientists/Engineers to work with experienced faculty and research groups in the CSE Dept of NITC and to get mentored by them for shaping their research careers in front-end technology. There are two vacancies, one for a Post Doctoral position (Research Associate-I) and one for a JRF (Junior Research Fellow).
Eligibility Criteria of Research Associate & Junior Research Fellow
Research Associate
Ph. D in Computer Science and Engineering or Computer Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from recognized Universities/Institutes, with at least one paper published in a leading journal/Tier1 conference, with CSIR/UGC-NET (Equivalent qualification/fellowship) or GATE score at any point of time.
Junior Research Fellow
B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics and Communication with a 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks
Or
Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or) CGPA of 6.0/10 CSIR/UGC-NET (Equivalent qualification/fellowship) or GATE score at any point in time.
Desirable Qualification
Experience in Python Programming
Experience in web interface development
Proficiency in technical writing in English
Good programming skills and experience

Salary of Research Associate & Junior Research Fellow
1) Junior Research Fellow Rs.37,000/- per month + HRA as applicable.
2) Research Associate Rs 58,000/- per month + HRA as applicable.

Important Note
Shortlisted candidates must report on 1st July 2024 at 10.00 AM, at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, NIT Campus (P.O), Calicut 673601. The selection process is based on a test / technical interview.
The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information and other documents submitted.
Applications in employment (government or any other organization) are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer along with the above-mentioned documents.
The decision of the selection committee is final. Canvassing in any form leads to the rejection of the candidature.
The tenure of the project staff is co-terminus with the project.
Selected candidates will not be permitted to claim any regular/ part-time appointments in this institute or any other during this period. However, the selected candidates may be allowed to join the program under the project category as per the Institute’s norms.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
